Thumbprint Artifacts was founded by lifelong friends Becky Riess and Kris Engle with a mission to support fair trade artisan businesses in South Africa. Drawing on their backgrounds in sales, marketing, entrepreneurship, and international work, they created a way to help skilled artisans reach new markets and build more sustainable livelihoods.
Their collection features unique, high-quality home decor handmade in South Africa. Each piece is purchased directly from artisans, helping support employment, entrepreneurship, families, and local communities. Many of the artisans are women and single mothers, and their work reflects both creative skill and personal pride.
